Two men were arrested Monday and face multiple felony charges after they allegedly stole a vehicle and then went to Kohl's where they stole an Xbox and then led Carson City sheriff's deputies on a brief chase.

Jacob Andrew Pacheaco, 27, and Danny Maxfield Jr., 37, were arrested separately, with Maxfield jumping out of a moving vehicle, suffering injuries which required him to go the hospital.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to Kohl's on South Carson Street at around 1:30 p.m. for a larceny report of two men taking an Xbox and fleeing the store. Upon arrival officers reviewed surveillance of the theft and immediately recognized Pacheaco and Maxfield from several prior arrests.

The men left the store in a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche driving northbound. The deputies taking the report at Kohl's passed on the information with other patrol deputies.

At around 2:25 p.m. a deputy located the vehicle in the area of North Edmonds and Fairview Drive. He attempted to stop the vehicle and turned on his emergency lights and siren. The deputy stated a person matching Pacheaco's description was driving at a high rate of speed and failed to yield which led the deputy on a pursuit until they reached the area of Mockingbird Way and Pheasant Drive where there were several children outside playing.

The deputy observed Maxfield jump from the vehicle as it was still moving and attempted to flee. He detained Maxfield and took him into custody. Maxfield was later taken to the hospital, where he was medically cleared and taken to Carson City Jail. During booking a taser was found on Maxfield, according to the arrest report.

Meanwhile, Pacheaco kept on driving eastbound on Pheasant Drive and then onto Furgeuson Ranch Road, where the vehicle was found locked and unoccupied. K9 deputies tracked a scent but it was lost. At around 3:20 p.m. Pacheaco was arrested after he was seen walking northbound in the area of Gregg Drive.

During the inventory of the Avalanche, which was reported stolen after the owner learned it had been involved in a police pursuit, several documents and cards were located inside with Pacheaco's name on them.

A Visa card was found in his wallet that did not belong to him. Also found was the Xbox stolen from Kohl's as well as numerous other electronic items with the tags still on them and the security devices removed.

Pacheaco faces the following felony charges: Eluding police and endangerment, burglary/shoplifting, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a credit card without consent. Misdemeanor charges include two contempt of court warrants issued April 8, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court, and a warrant for his arrest out of Douglas County issued March 18, 2014. Bail: $49,000.

Maxfield faces felony charges of burglary and being an ex-felon in possession of a taser and misdemeanor charges of petit larceny, obstructing a police officer and violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $9,259.
